Many Ohio children are fortunate to be cared for by kinship caregivers when their own parents are unable or unavailable to care for them.
Kinship caregivers may be relatives such as grandparents, aunts uncles, cousins, and even older siblings. About 100,000 grandparents are currently raising their grandchildren in Ohio right now.
Here is where the children try to understand if the new move is because of something they said or did. Here is where the caregiver changes their normal routine to extend the love and hope to help the children feel safe and wanted.
Our Kinship Care Corner is a wraparound program designed to offer services to those who have stepped up to provide stability to the children.
Our vision is that one day our children will live in a safe loving home with relatives that will help them develop until their full potential. Living in a place you can call home and knowing that someone will always be there for you is something everyone needs especially children.
We support relative caregivers throughout Franklin County in achieving Safety, Permanency and
Well -Being for their families through education, advocacy and community collaboration.
